We've been here a few times, this is definitely our favourite Thai in Newbury. The food is always tasty and the set menus offer a great selection. Very nice Thai restaurant. We had tom yum soup, fish cakes, sweetcorn cakes, two curry dishes and coconut rice - all excellent. - friendly service. The restaurant is named after a region in North Eastern Thailand, where the owners of the restaurant are from. The restaurant and also offers a take away service.
Excellent quality food, not tasted Thai curry that good since Thailand in '92 Massaman curry is excellent. These guys know what they're doing. They were really busy the race night we went so service was slowish but my goodness the food was well worth the wait. Very good value for money and very polite service. We will be back.
I visited Khon Kaen in Newbury last evening and had a delightful experience. I ordered the Pad Thai, which was exceptionally tasty with a perfect balance of flavors and an appealing presentation. The foods were amazing, and the price was very affordable. I highly recommend this place. I feel like it’s so underrated because when I was there, it was so quiet. Definitely deserves more recognition.

Amazing food. Had the set menu B. Great service to start but when it got busy we sort of got forgotten. Would still go back again cos, like I said, the food was awesome!!!
